Cuticle Lisse is a comprehensive step-by-step hair care line that nourishes and hydrates your hair and extensions.
Over time your extensions will become increasingly dry and damaged as you style them and expose them to the elements. Also, your extensions will not receive the oils and nutrients from your scalp that they need to stay healthy. The Cuticle Lisse hair care line was designed to keep your extensions healthy and provide them with the essential oils and nutrients that they need. That is why Paula created the Cuticle Lisse hair extension care line, which is rich in essential oils and nutrients that your extensions require to stay healthy and hydrated.
Our Hair Extension Care Products
Shampoos for Washing Your Extensions
For washing your hair extensions, we always recommend you to use a sulfate-free PH balanced moisturizing shampoo. You should avoid sulfate at all costs when selecting a shampoo for your hair extensions. Sulfate is added to a lot of shampoos because it has the ability to separate dirt and oil from your hair. However, the truth is it strips your extension hair of the natural oils and proteins that keep your hair healthy.
In most cases we recommend that you wash your hair and extensions 1 to 2 times a week.. If you have oily hair then you can wash every other day or everyday. If you live in activel lifestyle or frequently swim then you should make sure to wash your hair right after an exercise session or a dip in the pool. For curly hair, we recommend our Keratin Shampoo and if you have fine or oily hair, go for our Botanical Hydrating Shampoo.
Conditioning Your Extensions
As we mentioned earlier, your extensions will not receive oils and nutrients from your scalp. That means that you must condition your extensions every time you wash your hair. Our Silk Smoothing Conditioner for hair extension contains key hydrating ingredients and does not contain damage-causing ingredients like parabens or sulfates. It is a deep penetrating conditioner infused with silk proteins and vitamin b5 that rebuild and protects your extensions. It is also great for damaged and chemically treated hair. It also helps in strengthening, adding shine and revitalizing stressed and damaged hair. For curly hair and frizzy hair, we have our Keratin Conditioner. The keratin protein in this conditioner seals the cuticle and reduces frizz, leaving it smooth, shiny and manageable.
Deep Conditioning Your Extensions
Do you want your extensions to look beautiful and natural? Then you are going to want to use a deep conditioning treatment on your extensions at least once a week or once every other week is necessary, depending on how oily your natural hair is. We have a great collection of deep conditioning products that keep your hair healthy and shiny. Some of the conditioners include:
- Cuticle Lisse Argan Oil Deep Conditioning Masque - This deep conditioning masque penetrates the cuticle deeply to rebuild strength, restore elasticity and hydrate your hair. These key ingredients coat the cuticle to strengthen and protect your hair from potential damage when detangled, brushed or styled with hot tools.
- Soothing Leave-In Therapy Conditioner - This leave-in conditioner contains Vitamin B5 and Wheat Amino Acids that work together to keep your hair extensions healthy. The Vitamin B5 penetrates the cuticle and moisturizes your hair from the inside out. Moisture is the most critical component of keeping your extensions healthy. Without moisture your extensions will become brittle and dry and will no longer look natural. Additionally, Wheat Amino Acids have a thickening effect which increases your extension's surface area which in turn allows it to absorb more water. This is important, because water increases your hair's elasticity, reduces split ends and softens it.
The Finishing Touches
The final steps of hair extension care include:
- Argan Oil Shine Serum - Because your extensions are not rooted in your scalp, they will not receive the oils they need from it. Cuticle Lisse Argan Oil Shine Serum is loaded with antioxidants, essential fatty acids and Vitamin E and provides the oils that your extensions need and that they are not getting from your scalp.
- Thermal Defense Spray - If you are going to be styling your hair with hot tools such as curling irons or blow dryers, you are going to want to add an extra layer of defense to protect your extensions from heat damage. This Thermal Defense Hot Tools Mist contains natural silicone that coats your hair's cuticle, protecting it from heat and adding shine.
